Amps to Watts Calculator

Calculate active power from current and voltage for DC and AC systems.

Result

Formula

P = V × I (DC); P = V × I × PF (single-phase); P = √3 × V_LL × I × PF (three-phase).

Worked example

For balanced three-phase AC, V is line-to-line voltage and I is line current.

Assumptions

For three-phase calculations, the load is assumed balanced, voltage is line-to-line, and current is line current. Power factor applies to AC active-power calculations.
